England’s Weekly Winners and Losers: Week 15

After a full midweek program which English players stood out.

England’s Weekly Winners and Losers: Week 14

Morgan Gibbs-White

The boy’s a bit special! 18-year-old Gibbs-White capped his first Premier League start with a wonderful run to set up Wolves’ equalizer in a thrilling 2-1 win over Chelsea. The young winger has long been touted as one to watch and now appears to be making good on his promise.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Celebrated his first Premier League start of the season with the early goal in Chelsea’s surprise loss to Wolves. Loftus-Cheek played well in defeat and it was noticeable how Sarri kept him on and withdrew Morata and Willian as Loftus-Cheek probed with his excellent passing. Will he start against City?

Glenn Murray

Stuck away an early penalty to take his tally to 8 for the season, Murray is having a career year, it won’t win him an England call up but he is fast becoming the most prolific uncapped striker of the Premier League era.

James Maddison

At it again!

Will Hughes

The English Patient Part 1- Hughes was withdrawn against City and looks a doubt for the weekend.

Joe Gomez

The English Patient Part 2- Got in a tangle as his manager got his pants in a twist, could be out for a while.

Lewis Cook

The English Patient Part 3- Suffered the dreaded ACL and is out for 9 months, poor lad.
